Miroku recalls being saved in his youth by a beautiful woman named Koyuki during a blizzard seven years ago. It is reported that male villagers have been allured by a snow maiden. Miroku comes across Koyuki, who claims to have bore his children as she guides him to a secluded house. Inuyasha, Kagome and Shippo find Sango deep within the snowy plains, where she tells of Miroku's disappearance.
